Turkey? Duck? Chicken? no ALL THREE!

In Louisiana, we are already used to eating some of the most unusual, and strange foods. Alligator, Boudin, Frog Legs are some of my personal favorites, and I can’t forget about my mudbugs(crawfish). For the holidays there are no exceptions to out strange foods obsessions. Instead of a traditional turkey for Thanksgiving, in “the boot” one bird just isn’t enough. Turducken is a popular Southern dish, a three bird roast that is served in place of the turkey. It originated in the specialty meat stores of South-Central Louisiana, with American origins in Creole restaurants in New Orleans According to a piece in American Cooking: Creole and Acadian.
